Conditions of Astley Membership

Membership Card
Use of the Club and its facilities is restricted to members and organized groups who pay a hiring fee. So that members can be readily identified, they will be issued with a membership card, which should be produced on request. The membership discount available for squash, snooker, children's and adult celebratory parties may be only given on production of the membership card. The onus is on members to produce the card if asked for it, so they should not feel offended if they are refused access to the facilities if they can't.

Guests
In accordance with the licensing laws, only members with their signed-in quests or facility hirers may drink at the Club. It is the members responsibility to ensure that they sign-in any guest(s) that they take onto the Astley premises and pay any fee(s) that may be due. If members have family or friends visiting over a few days, they should speak with a staff member to arrange special cover for them.

Gaming Machine
In accordance with the gaming laws, ONLY Astley members may play the gaming machine, providing that they are eighteen years of age.

Alcohol and Drugs
It is an offence to supply under eighteens with alcohol. The Astley subscribes to a proof of age policy and staff are of instructed not to serve anyone who cannot prove their age if requested to do so. Anyone found using or in possession of illegal drugs will be reported to the police. Anyone considered by staff to have had too much to drink will not be served.

Children on the Premises Policy(Members receive a copy of the Club's Child Protection Policy)
Children of Astley members, up to and including Fifteen years of age, will be permitted to accompany their parents or parent on to the club premises, provided that they are well behaved, supervised at all times and follow the following rules and conditions:

    Bar Areas:
  1. No children are permitted in any bar area after 8.15pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, and 9.15pm on Friday, Saturday.
  2. Children under twelve will not be permitted into the Leader bar at any time, but must use the Gibson Family Room, if available, Providing that they are not left unattended. This is a no smoking area!
  3. When the Kids Club is meeting, no children, up to and including eleven years of age are permitted on the upper floor of the premises.
  4. That parents are clear about the law regarding the supply of alcohol to under eighteen year olds. Infringement will result in the immediate withdrawal of Astley membership.
    *Rules 1 and 2 may be suspended to allow special family events by the club or facility hirers.

    Sport facilities.

  5. Children attending classes, courses or any organised activity are restricted to the areas in which they take place and should be collected promptly by their parent(s) at the conclusion of it. In respect of organised classes, clubs of courses not administered by the Astley, where children are left under someone else's supervision, parents have a responsibility to ensure for themselves, the suitability of the person or people running it.
  6. Children of members aged twelve or over wishing to play snooker or pool may do so, providing that they are playing with an adult member and that one of their parents is in attendance.
  7. Only adult members are allowed to play darts.
    Upon reaching the age of sixteen, children of Astley members wishing to use the club must apply for membership in their own right, or sign in and pay the guest fee.

    Any member putting Astley's reputation or its licences at risk, will have membership withdrawn

    The RACING WELFARE
    Sports & Leisure Scheme

    Conditions under which Racing Welfare Sports & Leisure Scheme Cards are issued
    The scheme is open to all registered stable and stud workers (i.e. holders of a racing pass). Members of the scheme are entitled to free use of certain facilities at Leisure Centres and Swimming pools listed on the membership card.

    The membership runs from 1st January until 31st December and the fees: Single - £40.00 / Family - £70.00 this remains the same throughout the year.

    Each adult needs to provide 2 passport type photographs when handing the form in.

    Activities are restricted to those used on a session basis for example: aqua gym, badminton, pay and play activities (aerobics, circuit training), pirate island, swimming, tennis, toners fitness, tumblers play, water aerobics etc.

    Induction fees, Saunas and Sun-beds are not included in the scheme.
    Only children 13 and over may use the card independently of their parents.
    Children under 13 must be accompanied by a parent.
